A little care goes a long way. To help your EMORA jewelry preserve its color, shine, and finish, follow the guidance below and check the individual product page for material-specific details.

Everyday care

  • Put your jewelry on last and take it off first.

  • Remove it before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or cleaning.

  • Keep it away from perfume, lotion, sunscreen, hairspray, hand sanitizer, and household cleaners.

  • After wearing, gently wipe each piece with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

  • If your jewelry becomes damp, dry it promptly and thoroughly.

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, hard brushes, toothpaste, and excessive rubbing.

Plated, gold-tone, and silver-tone jewelry

Plated and tone-finished jewelry requires gentle care. Regular exposure to moisture, chemicals, friction, and perspiration can gradually affect the finish.

Do not use silver-polishing cloths or abrasive cleaners on plated pieces, as these may wear away the surface. With regular wear, the color and finish may naturally soften over time.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is a durable material, but plated surfaces and decorative details should still be treated with care. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, chemicals, and high humidity, and always dry the piece thoroughly if it becomes wet.

Sterling silver and S925 posts

Sterling silver components may naturally develop oxidation over time. Gently wipe them with a clean, soft cloth after wear and store them in a dry place.

When a product is described as having S925 posts, this refers to the earring posts only unless the product page states otherwise.

Freshwater pearls and pearl-style details

Freshwater pearls are naturally unique, so subtle differences in shape, color, and surface are part of their character.

Keep freshwater pearls and pearl-style details away from perfume, cosmetics, cleaning products, and prolonged moisture. Wipe them gently with a soft cloth after wear, and never soak or scrub them.

Natural stones, crystals, and glass beads

Natural stones may vary slightly in color, pattern, and texture, making every piece a little different. Protect stones, crystals, and glass beads from impact, harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and steam.

Clean them gently with a soft, dry cloth without pulling or placing pressure on the setting or stringing.

Storage

Store each piece separately in a pouch or lined jewelry box to help prevent scratching, tangling, and friction.

Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Fasten chains before storing and lay delicate pieces flat whenever possible.
